Cinnamon Rolls

My kids simply love cinnamon. As a spice, I use it in sweet and savory dishes. But what they love the most for breakfast are my fluffy, soft, and super delicious cinnamon rolls.

Ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 400 gr all-purpose flour
  • 40 gr granulated sugar
  • 100 ml warm milk 
  • 5gr dry yeast
  • 3 eggs 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100 gr softened butter 
  • Pinch of salt

 

For the filling:

  • 125 gr sugar
  • 150 gr grounded almonds
  • 1 egg 
  • 60 gr soft butter 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder

 

For the glaze:

    • 75 gr mascarpone cheese
    • 75 gr powdered sugar
    • 25 gr soft butter 
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
CINNAMON ROLLS

Instructions:

In a small bowl, mix the dry yeast with the warm milk, rest for 10 minutes, and then add the eggs. In the meantime, mix the flour with the granulated sugar, salt and slowly add the wet ingredients. Knead the dough until it forms a firm structure. Let the dough proof for two hours or refrigerate overnight.  

When ready to use, roll the dough into a rectangular shape 40 x 55 and spread the filling on top. Tightly roll the dough up, and using dental floss, cut 12 equal slices.

Place the slices in a greased pan, size ф26 cover them, and let them rest for another 45 minutes.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for 25 minutes.

Glaze the cinnamon rolls with the cream cheese frosting while still warm.
